Finished

This has been a really awesome experience. I was able to work with the advanced painters as well as those in painting 1. It has been a learning experience, to see the steps it takes to paint a picture onto a wall. I think will serve Ada well, and I am honored to have been a part of it.
Thanks Brad!

Painting in the cold

Painting in 30 degree weather is pretty much the worst! But I think we were able to get a lot done that day. Everyone worked super hard and fast so we could be done.

Projecting

Brad and some of the advanced painters were able to project the image onto the wall, using chalk. They used different color chalk to indicate which color would go into those spaces. So it would make it easier for us who would basically color in the spaces.

The color process

We started from the bottom, and worked our way to the top. The bottom was panting on the boarder and leaving the words the wall color. After the boarder was on, we moved our way up. We started with all the darks. Then worked our way to the in-between colors. The process was very successful.

Day 1:Prepping the Brick Wall

To prep a brick wall, before painting we used a power washer and blasted off all the unwanted dirt and particles that would make painting more difficult. Then we were able to paint the wall a neutral color as our base.
